Hello Jag Families!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break filled with lots of fun. As we return to school, I’m excited to share some updates and upcoming events with you.
The second round of RenStar results is now available! RenStar is used as an assessment tool for all students, including those identified as having individual educational plans, academic interventions, and/or gifted services. Teachers are provided with current, reliable and valid data that allows them to target instruction, monitor progress, and provide students with appropriate instructional support. Parents can log in to see their students' scores and celebrate their achievements. We are thrilled to announce that nearly 1000 treats will be distributed to students who have made progress from their previous scores. Go Jags!
Join us for our next "Coffee with the Principal" on December 7, 2023, at 9:00 AM in the school library. It's a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, and stay informed about the exciting developments at Windsor Middle School. We look forward to seeing you there!

Candy Cane Winter Walk and Roll, Wednesday December 6th – wear red and white. Ride your bike, Scooter, skateboard, or walk to school, and then stop by the Walk & Roll table to sign your name and school ID, for a chance to win awesome Gift Cards! Multiple winners will be announced in the morning announcements! (Must arrive at school by 8:25 am to be entered in the drawing)

WMS Booster!!
We are excited to introduce Windsor Middle School Boosters. The Boosters is organized for the purpose of supporting the education and extracurricular activities of children at Windsor Middle School and to foster relationships among the school, parents, and teachers, as well as provide charitable fundraising. Please join us for our first boosters meeting on Wendedsay, December 13th at 4pm in the library. We will discuss committee work and fundrasing plans for our school. We look foward to seeing you there!
Shop til you drop while you raise money for WMS!!
Earn money for WMS by shopping at Oliver’s Market with your Oliver’s Market Community Card. It’s easy and free to register, shop and earn 3% for our school. Fill out the registration form and just turn it into the cashier. When you have Community Card number go onto escrip.com and choose Windsor Middle School ASB. Thank you for supporting Windsor Middle School!!!
ABSENCE/SHORT-TERM INDEPENDENT STUDY
When students will be away from school for between three and fifteen consecutive school days, the parent/guardian can request a Short-Term Independent Study Program. Parents must inform the school secretary, Seana Buckman, at least two weeks in advance to have their student participate in this program. If the work is completed during the allotted time frame and the Independent Study Contract is fulfilled, the student will receive credit for being in school. The Independent Study Contract must be completed and work returned to the ATTENDANCE OFFICE on the day of the student’s scheduled return in order to receive full credit for missed assignments and have the attendance codes entered as verified. Report cards will NOT be mailed home. Please log on to your Aeries parent portal to view grades at any time. End of the first quarter is October 19th. Grades will post by October 24th, 2023. |

Snowman Art Contest - Entries Due on 12/13 Create a snow-person at home using any medium that you wish and bring it to school on 12/13. Art Projects will be on display in the library and available for voting till 12/18. Your submission will be voted on by the student body through 5 Star! Winners will be announced on 12/22! Questions? Student Gingerbread competition–take a picture of your Gingerbread masterpiece and send it to Ms. L, at alozano@wusd.org to enter your amazing Gingerbread house. Due 12/13 Winners will be announced on Dec. 22nd.

- WMS School Wide Gift Exchange: 11/27 - 12/13-If you give a gift you will get a gift. *Drop off an unwrapped gift, *not to exceed $15, *Bring the gift unwrapped with your *first and last name and student # on it to the WMS office present box, 11/27th - 12/13th 8 am - 3 pm. The WMS elves will wrap and deliver gifts to participating students the week of 12/18-12/22

Holiday it up with sparkle, shine, NEW YEAR NEW YOU glam, or ARRIVE IN your favorite Christmas onesie. Hats and socks, all things festive–the more you do the more likely you are to win a prize!
