WINDSOR MIDDLE SCHOOL (GRADES 6-8)

Welcome to Windsor Middle School!

Windsor Middle School is proud to be one of the finest middle school facilities in the North Bay region. The campus, built in 1997, features a full size gymnasium, large multi-purpose room, soccer and softball fields, and a music room. Centrally located, the school is adjacent to the Boys and Girls Club, Hiram Lewis Park, and Pat Elsbree SkatePark, and is a short walk from Foothill Regional Park. Approximately 800 6th through 8th graders attend WMS.

At Windsor Middle School, we are dedicated to providing our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders with a vibrant and comprehensive educational experience. Our exciting new modified block schedule allows students to explore a wide range of subjects with seven classes per day, fostering a deeper understanding and passion for learning.

Academic Courses & Support

We are thrilled to introduce our diverse exploratory courses, designed to ignite curiosity and inspire creativity. Students can choose from stimulating options such as Crime Scene Investigation, Computer Science, AVID, Spanish A, Spanish 1, Spanish for Native Speakers, Minecraft for Education, Introduction to Theater, Art, Yearbook/Journalism, Film Studies, Leadership, Build, Honors Band, Honors Strings, Beginning Band, Engineering, Engineering 2, Culinary, Culinary 2, and Science of Natural Disasters.

For students needing additional support, we offer a variety of classes including Read 180, Math 180, FOCAS, Multi Language Development, Learning Lab, and Math Support, ensuring every student has the resources they need to succeed.

In addition to our core and exploratory courses, we provide enrichment opportunities such as Pre-Algebra and Honors English for 7th graders, and IM1 and Honors English for 8th graders, enabling students to excel academically and reach their full potential.

Athletics

In addition to our rigorous academics, Windsor Middle School offers a full range of athletics for both boys and girls, including flag football, cross country, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and track and field. Our athletics program emphasizes teamwork, skill development, and sportsmanship, providing students with opportunities to excel both on and off the field.

Clubs & Activities

For those interested in clubs and extracurricular activities, Windsor Middle School rocks with options such as Friendship and Fellowship Club, Robotics Club, Lego Club, and Golf Club. These clubs encourage students to explore their interests, collaborate with peers, and develop leadership skills.

Throughout the school year, Windsor Middle School buzzes with excitement from our lively extracurricular calendar. We host dances, rallies, school spirit weeks, and engaging events like staff vs student games, fostering a sense of community and school pride. During lunchtime, students can participate in a variety of activities that promote social interaction and fun.

Parent Involvement

Windsor Middle School values and encourages parent involvement. We have a strong Boosters organization, School Site Council, and monthly coffee sessions with administration, providing opportunities for parents to engage with the school community, share their perspectives, and contribute to school improvement initiatives.

Our parents also play a vital role in supporting our music, theater, and athletic programs, volunteering their time and expertise to ensure these extracurricular activities thrive.

At Windsor Middle School, we believe in nurturing well-rounded students—academically, athletically, and socially—and we invite parents to partner with us in creating a supportive and enriching environment for our students.

We invite you to explore all that Windsor Middle School has to offer as we prepare our students for success in High School and beyond.
