Update on 2025-26 Calendar

Dear WUSD Community:

We know everyone has been waiting with bated breath for the 2025-26 school year calendar, and we’re here to tell you … it isn’t quite ready yet. There are a few small details that are still being worked out with our labor partners.

However, we are able to share a few key dates that we hope will make your planning for next year easier. 

The first day of school will be Aug. 14, 2025. The last day of school will be June 4, 2026 (and yes, it’s a Thursday). Thanksgiving break will be Nov. 24-28, 2025. Winter break will begin Dec. 22, 2025 and students will return to class on Jan. 6, 2026.  Spring break will be March 16-20, 2026.

Details of other holidays, days off, professional development days, and teacher work days are still being negotiated, and we will widely share the finalized and approved calendar when we can. But we hope in the meantime, this gets you a few things you need as we look towards the coming year.
